David G. Liston, Esq.

Mr. Liston is Litigation Counsel at Hughes, Hubbard & Reed LLP, where he specializes in securities and banking matters, internal corporate investigations, SEC representation, white-collar criminal defense, and complex civil litigation.  Previously, Mr. Liston worked as an assistant district attorney in the New York County District Attorney’s Office from 1994 through 1999, and served as a law clerk for The Honorable Richard S. Cohen of the Superior Court of New Jersey from 1993 through 1994. From 2004 through 2006, Mr. Liston served on the Election Law Committee of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. In addition to his legal career, Mr. Liston is an active participant in community matters in his Upper East Side neighborhood.  Mr. Liston is a member of Manhattan Community Board 8, where he served as Board Chair from 2005 to 2008 and where he presently serves as Co-Chair of the Landmarks Committee.  He is also President of the Holy Trinity Neighborhood Center, a community service program that provides, among other services, shelter and a weekly dinner for homeless people and a weekly lunch for senior citizens.   He served as Vice President of the 19th Precinct Community Council from 2002 to 2005.   Mr. Liston, a mayoral appointee, has been a board member since May 2009.
