North Corona 2
North Corona 2 Rezoning:
The Department of City Planning proposes Zoning Map amendments for 100 blocks in the north-central Queens neighborhood of North Corona, Community District 3. The proposed lower density and contextual zoning changes would more closely reflect existing built character and limit maximum building heights on Astoria and Northern boulevards for new residential development.

Special Forest Hills District
Special Forest Hills District Rezoning:
The Department of City Planning is proposing a contextual rezoning and the establishment of special zoning district provisions for the Austin Street commercial hub of Forest Hills. The proposal aims to better reflect current uses and development patterns in the area and foster orderly growth.

Sunnyside Gardens
Sunnyside Gardens Rezoning:
The Department of City Planning proposes a zoning text amendment to modify the provisions of the Special Planned Community Preservation (PC) District as they relate to Sunnyside Gardens.

    Adopted by the City Council on September 24, 2008.

  • Laurelton
    Adopted by the City Council on September 4, 2008.

  • Rockaway Neighborhoods
    Adopted by the City Council on August 14, 2008.

  • Briarwood
    Adopted by the City Council on February 27, 2008.
