Modification to City of New York Drought Emergency Rules
DEP is proposing to repeal, modify, and reenact the City of New York's Drought Emergency Rules contained in Title 15, Chapter 21 of the Rules of the City of New York. The modifications provide for greater flexibility and consistency for water usage during the various stages of drought, which will help enable New York City in staving off worsening drought conditions during future drought emergencies. NYCDEP, as lead agency, has determined that the modified Rules will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The location of the proposed action includes all sites within New York City. Indirectly, this action applies to Upstate New York City water supply districts.
The rules can be found here.
