The New York City Department of Environmental Protection has announced the 2013 Green Infrastructure Grant Program. Up to $6 million will be available for green infrastructure projects such as blue roofs, rain gardens, green roofs, porous pavement and rainwater harvesting on private property in combined sewer areas.

Applications for the 2013 Green Infrastructure Grant Program are now closed. For more information regarding the Green Infrastructure Grant Program please email sustainability@dep.nyc.gov.

The map provided can be used for general planning and guidance purposes to determine if your site is within a combined sewer area.

DEP hosted three grant workshops in Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx to explain the eligibility requirements of the program and guide users through the online application. A fourth technical workshop was held at DEP to provide extra support in completing the stormwater calculations template.
