Advisory Board

The Advisory Board is mandated by the N.Y.C. Electrical Code. It meets approximately every three weeks throughout the year. The Board reviews three categories of jobs:

Service installations of over 1000 KVA and all high voltage (over 600 volts) jobs.
Special permissions, variances and concept reviews.
Electrical equipment & material for use in NYC

Please find New Rule 34-04 relating to the Electrical Advisory Board and Electrical Code Committees. The rule formalizes the Electrical Advisory Board and Electrical Code Committees and revises the existing fees in connection with filings and submissions made to the Electrical Advisory Board. The rule will become effective December 19, 2003.
