Division of Alternative Management (DAMP)
The Department of Housing Preservation and Development's Division of Alternative
Management operates several programs that select alternative managers for residential
properties foreclosed on by the City for nonpayment of taxes, with the goal
of returning these properties to the tax rolls.
Properties sold through DAMP receive certain property tax breaks on the residential portion of the property for up to a forty-year period.
