City Health Information (CHI) : NYC DOHMH

City Health Information (CHI)

Recent Issues

CHI by E-MailThe City Health Information (CHI) bulletin is an evidence-based clinical guidance to providers throughout New York City. It is published approximately 10 times per year, offering timely, practical guidance on important public health topics such as influenza, HIV, and smoking cessation. Guidance is also distributed periodically through brochures and Dear Colleague letters.

Beginning in April 2012, the CHI will be a paperless publication. In order to continue receiving the CHI without interruption, all readers, including those who now receive it by e-mail, should Subscribe to Receive CHI by E-Mail. The electronic format will allow us to offer an interactive publication that will help our readers more easily access our guidelines and resources. In addition to helping protect the environment, electronic publication lowers production and mailing costs, allowing us to maintain the number of issues published and the breadth of topics they cover.

Until spring 2012, subscribers to the electronic version of the CHI will receive an e-mail with a link to the PDF version of the latest CHI. When we launch the new electronic format in April, we will discontinue paper distribution of the CHI for all readers except practicing physicians who specifically request printed copies when they subscribe. These print subscriptions will be continued for a limited time only, and we encourage all our readers to take full advantage of the additional resources and interactivity that will be available with the newly reformatted electronic CHI.

In order to continue receiving the CHI without interruption, all readers, including those who now receive it by e-mail, will have to subscribe. Subscribers will be asked to provide basic information that will help us tailor the CHI, as well as letters and brochures, to particular readers. This information will not be shared with anyone outside of the DOHMH.
