Infection Control Course for Tattoo Artists
In accordance with the Health Code, successful completion of the Infection Control Course for Tattoo Artists is a prerequisite to being issued a Tattoo Artist License.
The Infection Control Course is a three hour course conducted twice a month by the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene's (DOHMH) Health Academy. Participants who complete this course and successfully pass the final written examination will have their Tattoo Artist License issued by the Citywide Licensing Center.
Note: Applicants register for the required Infection Control Course and submit an application for the Tattoo Artist License at the same time.

The Infection Control Course Study Manual includes the material covered in the course and on which the applicant will be tested in the final written examination.
