DYCD funds a wide variety of programs designed to
help New Yorkers confront life's challenges:
- Domestic Violence Prevention - helps victims and
those at risk break the cycle of violence.
- Fatherhood Initiative - encourages fathers to play a
larger role in the lives of their children.
- Healty Families - provide case management services
and referral assistance with issues such as domestic violence
prevention, substance abuse, HIV/AIDS support services, and nutrition.
- Housing
- focuses on basic tenants’ rights and
help obtaining housing support
benefits.
- Seniors -
provides services that allow seniors to remain at home and lead independent
lives.
