Mortality

In the graphs below you will see the 30-day mortality rates for patients admitted to an HHC hospital compared to hospitals across New York State. Lower mortality generally reflects better care. This data is reported to hospitals by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and is based only on Medicare patients who are not in a managed-care plan.
