Access to higher education for these students is a major goal of both the Rehabilitation Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). At many of the CUNY schools, the Office of Services for Students with Disabilities provides individual counseling, priority registration, support groups, readers, tutors, interpreters, flexible test administration, note takers, adaptive equipment for people with visual impairments, word-processing training, and much more.
