The New York City Housing Authority is now accepting parking permit applications for the next parking year cycle for May 1, 2010 through April 30, 2011. Parking applications from current parking holders will be given priority for a parking permit. All other parking applicants will be issued permits based on the order in which their applications were received starting March 26, 2010. Applications can be obtained from the Management Office or here in the Parking Permits section of NYCHA’s website.
If you are interested in applying for a 2010/2011 Parking Permit, you must submit the following documents:
- Signed Original Parking Permit Application (keep a copy for your own records)
- Money Order or Bank Certified Check payable to NYCHA (no personal check or cash)
- Copy of current New York State Vehicle Registration
- Copy of Valid Driver’s License
- Copy of NYC or NY State Parking Permit for Persons with Disabilities, if applicable
All applications along with appropriate parking fee payments and required documentation must be mailed to:

Do not bring a completed application to a development management office.

For NYCHA residents requesting reserved parking, payments are due twice a year. The first payment is due with the application and the second payment is due on November 1, 2010.

For all non-NYCHA residents, payments are due in full with the application.

The parking fee schedule and a listing of the development with parking facilities are attached to the application.
Please note that an incomplete parking application or incorrect payment amount may result in the rejection of the application.
