NYCHA’s Housing Choice Voucher Program is the largest Section 8 voucher program in the United States. NYCHA administers approximately 92,000 Section 8 vouchers, and over 32,000 landlords currently participate in the program.
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) provides funding for the rent subsidies for those eligible for the program. All apartments must meet Housing Quality Standards (HQS) set by HUD. NYCHA inspectors conduct annual apartment inspections to ensure compliance with these standards.
We have provided for your use commonly used NYCHA forms, hotline numbers, NYCHA inspection standards, and a link to IRS Form W-9.
