The Community Affairs Bureau was established to foster positive and productive police-community relations. By partnering with community leaders, civic organizations, block associations, and concerned individuals, we work to create solutions for problems that arise within the city's many communities.

Community Affairs Division
We work closely with the community to address quality of life issues in their neighborhoods.
School Safety Division We create a relationship that bridges today's youth with faculty members to ensure a productive education.
Crime Prevention Section We alert and educate the community about current crimes and create solutions to address them. We also offer safety lectures and free security surveys to the public.
Juvenile Justice Division
We reduce youth crime through analysis of Department reports and databases, and designing effective diversion and intervention program.
Precinct Community Affairs Each NYPD Precinct has Community Affairs Officers to address any concerns the community may have in their neighborhood.
