Police Commissioner Raymond W. Kelly presented Inspector James Guida, Lieutenant James Doherty and Police Officer Peter Bolte with the New York City Police Department’s Theodore Roosevelt Award Thursday, in recognition of each officer’s endurance and performance of duty in the face of life-threatening illnesses and injury.

NYPD HISPANIC HERITAGE CELTBRATION
The New York City Police Department celebrated Hispanic Heritage within the NYPD at an event held Tuesday evening at Police Headquarters. Police Commissioner Raymond W. Kelly presided over a ceremony at One Police Plaza which gave recognition to and honored members of the Department of Hispanic background.

MAYOR BLOOMBERG AND POLICE COMMISSIONER KELLY COMMEMORATE THE LIVES OF NINE NEW YORK CITY POLICE OFFICERS WHO DIED AFTER RESPONDING TO THE 2001 WORLD TRADE CENTER ATTACKS
Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg and Police Commissioner Raymond W. Kelly today commemorated the lives of nine New York City Police officers who perished after performing rescue, recovery and clean-up work following the September 11, 2001 attacks.
