The Mayor's Office to Combat Domestic Violence creates public education materials to increase awareness of domestic violence. Some publications on this page were created through funding received by the Federal government.

The Annual Report of the New York City Domestic Violence Fatality Review Committee, 2008, is the third annual report of the Fatality Review Committee which was established through Local Law 61, in June 2005.  Get the report

		The Annual Report of the New York City Domestic Violence Fatality Review Committee, 2006, is the first annual report of the Fatality Review Committee which was established through Local Law 61. The Committee reviewed and analyzed family-related homicide data to gain an understanding of the circumstances surrounding the occurrence of these crimes and to ascertain the level to which victims accessed victim assistance and prevention services. 		A Medical Providers’ Guide to Managing the Care of Domestic Violence Patients within a Cultural Context is a training and reference guide developed for healthcare providers by the Mayor's Office to Combat Domestic Violence and the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Get the guide

Resource Lists
New York City has many resources available to help victims of domestic violence. The Mayor's Office to Combat Domestic Violence created various fact sheets and resources lists to help those in search of information find help for domestic violence victims.

Brochures and Public Education Materials
The Mayor's Office to Combat Domestic Violence also developed public education materials which have been translated into as many as 14 different languages. These materials were created with input from domestic violence survivors, police officers, and healthcare providers from a variety of settings.
