What is the Workforce Investment Board (WIB)?
Workforce Investment Boards, known as WIBs, were created by the Federal Workforce Investment Act (WIA) in 1998. This act designated that WIBs would be the management bodies that provide strategic planning, policy direction, and oversight of workforce activities at the local level.
