Help for Youth

“As the New York City labor market continues to change, there is a need for skilled workers in key industries. It is important that we find a way to connect the City's youth to career and educational paths that prepare them for jobs in demand.”

Thomas Moloney, WIB Member; Partner, Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton, LLP

The Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD)  administers youth-oriented workforce initiatives. By funding a wide range of innovative, practical, effective programs that help employ in-school and out-of-school youth and help them find summer jobs and seasonal internships, the City is providing young people with access to stable jobs and meaningful careers.
