Take the Field Take the Field

Take the Field, Inc. is a private, non-profit organization whose mission is to rebuild public high school athletic fields throughout the five boroughs.

The New York City Sports Commission is working with Take the Field to encourage all New Yorkers to take advantage of New York City's newest ballfields after school and on weekends. To find out more information on where and when you can use these athletic venues, please call Take the Field at (212) 521-2232.

Take the Field will directly impact students' lives and have a positive effect on their high school experience. With greater involvement in athletic programs, more of our city's public high school students are going to perform better in class and, in the long run, are going to be better equipped to face the challenges of life after high school. This is a terrific program, and the goal is to make all the city's sports facilities first-class.
