New York City is proud to be host to the United Nations headquarters, as
well as 192 Permanent Missions to the United Nations. The goal of the Division
for Diplomatic and Consular Affairs is to facilitate positive relations between
the Office of the Mayor, as well as all City Agencies, businesses, residents of
New York City, and members of the diplomatic community. The Commission answers
questions, offers problem solving, and provides a City orientation for newly
arrived diplomatic and consular officers. Additionally, the Commission responds
to inquiries and concerns from City residents, businesses, and agencies with
regards to the diplomatic community.
