June IEEP Update: Students from Jerusalem have now completed the 2005-2006 "My Dream Park" curriculum. As part of their final project they created a slideshow which described their dream park. It was shown on June 6, 2006 at the Arsenal Gallery in Central Park for Sister City day. Also on display were models made by NYC students and drawings from Beijing, Budapest, Rome and Madrid.

2005

June Jerusalem students receive “Certificates of Excellence” from the New York City Sister City Program to recognize their participation in the 2004-2005 pilot year of IEEP.

May IEEP Jerusalem students from Keshet Primary School conclude the pilot year of IEEP by submitting their completed project for the “Cities Around the World” curriculum. Jerusalem students created a slide show of their school and their neighbourhood to share with their New York peers. The slide show is available on the Keshet School website

February 17-18th, 2005 Dr. Michael Levin, Professor of Art & Architectural Historian represents Jerusalem at the February Public Art Summit, “Strategies for Public Art.” Dr. Levin presents on the processes for creating and sustaining public art in Jerusalem.

October The Computer Education Administration in Jerusalem, directed by the Jerusalem Mayor’s Office, nominates the Keshet Primary School for participation in the pilot year of the Sister City Program’s innovative Internet-based Educational Exchange Program (IEEP). Students from Jerusalem will communicate with New York City students on a password-protected, customized web-based forum to work on a collaborative year-long project called “Cities Around the World.”

June 24-25th, 2004 Jerusalem sent two representatives to the Sister City Program Technology Summit, "Transforming Government Through Technology," including the Head of the Security and Emergency Services Department of the Jerusalem Municipality.

December 2003 The Chair for Jerusalem, Mrs. Lynn Korda Kroll met with the Mayor of Jerusalem, Uri Lupolianski, at a courtesy visit with Mayor Bloomberg in Gracie Mansion.

February 6-7th, 2003 The Director of Public Affairs of the Israeli Ministry of Tourism represented Jerusalem at the February Tourism Summit "Rebuilding International Tourism."
