February 17-18th, 2005 A four person delegation represents London at the February Public Art Summit, “Strategies for Public Art.” Justine Simons, Cultural Strategy Manager of London’s Mayor’s Office, Jemima Montagu, Visual Arts Officer for the Public Realm, Vivien Lovell, Visual Arts Curator & Public Art Consultant, and Liz O’Sullivan, Head of Platform for Art at London Underground comprise the delegation. February 2005 Public Art Summit “Strategies for Urban Public Art”

January 2005 The Sister City Program endorses the proposal by the British Memorial Trust to have the Seals of the Sister City Program of the City of New York, Inc. and the seals of the City of New York and London installed at the British Memorial Garden in lower Manhattan.

June The Mayor’s Office of the Greater London Authority nominates the Stockwell Park School for participation in the pilot year of the Sister City Program’s innovative Internet-based Educational Exchange Program (IEEP). Students from London will communicate with New York City students on a password-protected, customized web-based forum to work on a collaborative year-long project called “Cities Around the World.”

June 24-25, 2004 London participates in the June Technology Summit, "Transforming Government Through Technology" sending representatives from the Metropolitan Police Service, the Greater London Authority, and Transport for London.
